The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it is actually alarmed with regard to the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office committed to service the area regularly. The SRD services place made for intervention activities a high influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more means to empower the servicing of all clients and boost access to Social Assistance sassa status services,” the agency said.
